Jacob and I have been sick with a stomach bug. Jacob has had it worse : diarrhea for the past three days, vomiting, a horrible rotten egg smell. I woke up to the horrid stench Thursday morning. Looked at Jacob and the poor child was covered in vomit, and was still asleep. His bed is still in my room, and I should have heard him but didn't.

This is the fourth time Jacob has had these symptoms within the past six months. The first two times Joshua was sick as well, and that was a horrible mess! At one point he left a trail through the living room, up the stairs, and into the bathroom. The third time only Jacob was sick, and this time Jacob and I.

I had chronic diarrhea myself for at least eight months. I was blaming it on various things: lactose, gluten, maybe diabetes, or possibly irritable bowel. Finally forced myself to visit a doctor. A stool test was positive for C. Diff. After the antibiotics, the diarrhea stopped, for the most part. As Jacob kept having these bouts, I had his pediatrician test him. She tested for multiple microbes - C Diff, Giardia, and others. They were all negative. So... I have no clue what keeps making us sick.

With the latest bout Jacob, Joshua and I all have stuffy noses, sneezing and coughing, but only Jacob and I have had the stomach problems. We have been trying probiotics - Garden of Life's brand - but so far not a whole lot of help from them.

1. If you do something nice for someone, then turn around and say "Hey! I did something nice for you!", then it isn't very nice anymore.

2. If you do something for someone, and it serves to benefit yourself as much as the recipient, then you did not just do something for that person, but for yourself as well.

Hello,

I am Rhonda aka Wyrmwud. I am the mother of four: Jonathan, 25; Jessica, 24; Joshua, 9; and Jacob, 4. As well, I am grandma to Rinoa, 4 (she is 5 months older than my youngest, Jacob). I am married to Jason, father of Joshua and Jacob.

I have OCD and Panic Disorder. My obsessions, er, interests include history, religions, cultures, world events, and so on.

My two youngest and my granddaughter all are on the Autism Spectrum. Joshua and Jacob are like "polar opposites"  - for example -  Jacob never talks while Joshua never stops!  Yet they are alike in ways, such as they are each obsessed with one certain tv show: Joshua loves Blue's Clues, and Jacob loves Yo Gabba Gabba. Both are off the charts tall for their ages. Joshua loves to eat and is a junk food fanatic. He would never dream of eating anything green, and won't eat cheese unless it's on pizza or in mac and cheese. He only drinks milk if it's chocolate. Jacob on the other hand would rather not eat at all. He will not pick up finger foods. He won't allow food put in his mouth unless it's on his little red and yellow plastic toddler spoon. The only foods he will eat are yogurt (any flavor), bananas and  berries (mashed up), spaghetti and meatballs (mashed up meatballs), canned beef ravioli (mashed), Kraft spirals and cheese, spinach, applesauce and oatmeal. I usually mix the bananas, berries and applesauce in with his oatmeal, and he also likes it when I add pulpy orange juice or pureed oranges to it. I've also been adding Carnation Breakfast Essentials to it. He will only drink milk and will not tolerate adding anything to it.

I plan on continuing to write on Blogger as long as I can stop myself from deleting and rewriting!
